UNDERSTANDING THE AI ALLOWANCE

Your team shares one AI allowance.

What uses it

Each purchased seat adds to one allowance shared by your firm. Assistant questions, summaries, drafts and briefings use that allowance. Professional includes twice Essentials’ allowance per seat.

When it resets

Daily limits reset at midnight UTC. A separate monthly limit can pause new AI work until the next calendar month begins in UTC, even if the daily allowance has reset. There is no usage-based overage charge.

How to assess the fit

Ask us for the current daily and monthly limits during your evaluation, before signing. Bring your expected team size, meeting volume and AI workflows. Billing administrators can review daily and monthly usage in Settings → Billing.

Discuss your team’s AI usage

Using your own supported AI provider account does not remove Balau AI’s usage limits. Enterprise capacity is scoped for your firm in the order form.

A raise opens a room; closing it archives the room and its record. You pay for rooms while they are live and never for a raise you are not running. An archived room keeps its access record with the relationship, exportable, and audit records are retained for seven years.

Read the security posture
Can the bill change without us agreeing to it?
No. There is no metered overage and no automatic top-up. When a daily or monthly AI limit is reached, new AI work pauses until that period resets. Existing records are kept. Contact us to discuss more capacity; your bill does not increase automatically.
What is a seat?
A seat is a licence your firm purchases, not a headcount we observe. You decide how many you need and that is the number you are billed for.
What happens to our records if we stop paying?
They stay for as long as the agreement does. Non-payment removes access to features; it never deletes a firm’s records, and a full export of them is provided on request. When the agreement ends, your records are returned or deleted on your instruction within thirty days; audit records are the one exception, kept for their seven years.
How do we buy?
Through a master services agreement and an order form, with a data processing agreement alongside them. Every plan is sales-led, so your firm can review the terms and data handling before connecting client data. Annual prepayment carries a discount, stated on the order form.
